Green Home Improvement Loans Launched to Decarbonise Cornish Homes

Cornwall Council has teamed up with Lendology CIC to introduce a Green Home Improvement Loan Scheme, offering financial support to homeowners who struggle to access traditional lending—especially those in fuel poverty, with young children, health issues, or living in park homes.

Funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and Cornwall’s Housing Decarbonisation Strategy, these interest-free or low-interest loans fill the gap for homeowners without grant eligibility. The aim is to make homes warmer, healthier, more energy-efficient, and cheaper to run, aligning with Cornwall’s commitment to become carbon neutral.
